This is the USS Macon. She is a just-before-TOS ship. She would probably be classifed as a scout/escort vessel and still in service when Kirk took command of the Enterprise.

She is made from wood with crackerbox cardboard details. Finished with brushed on acrylic paints. Another model for my overly crowded shelves.
