This is the Trade Federation Tank from AMT/ERTL. It started out as a build with my son, but when he saw what it was going to take to do it he backed off so I decided to finish it myself. The build was pretty straight forward. Nothing special done except that the raised part down the middle of the front of the base was sanded off and a new line was scribed in its place. Painting was basically mixing colors that seemed to be close. Reference photos varied, so it was hard to tell which was the right one and which was wrong, so I just decided to come as close as I could. Weathering was the fun part. Most of it was black and brown pastels ground down and applied with a fine brush. I’d read some bad comments about this kit, but I had no problems with it and found it enjoyable to work on.
