I've just finished my major reworking of the Moebius Chariot Kit. My first problem was that the rear hatch part of the canopy was cracked...so out in came! A new one created and fitted out with hinge mechanism. All doors had new hinges (non working) fitted in keeping with the fully opened design (not the 90 degree as supplied). I spent a lot of time rebuilding the dashboard and front interior. The scanner was replaced as was its framework. Although not easy to get to now the scanner does move and rotate and elevate! All the moulded curtains(!) were replaced with fine silver gauze and aluminium tape. Seat posts were replaced as was the floor. Side consoles were opened up with added details and of course best of all a lift so the Robot could actually get in the vehicle on his own. I also colapsed the “rubber” leg boots of Robot to show how he would fit inside. The gun rack built up and guns detailed. LThe luggage rack received added mesh floor and mounting brackets, with new luggage created from a brand of building bricks. An internal framework for the canopy was built with Evergreen stock. The exterior frames were also covered in strip stock then aluminium tape. Due to an accident involving superglue I had to also replace the front windscreen! Please don’t let this put you off the kit, as it is it builds up to a nice replica, but I can never build straight from the box!
