BC-304 Daedalus

By Marco Scheloske

Here my version of Saltire Technologies BC 304. I built this model from a very early casting back in 2008. All antennas are shorted needles.

I tried something new regarding the paintjob: I painted ALL hull panels one by one with so called 'Polychrome'-pencils. Those are available in a lot of colors from the Pantone-range, and are 'color-guaranteed'. This means that you can buy a pencil in 2008, and another one in 2010, but the color will be exactly the same. Finally I used my fingers to slightly blend the panels into the base color, and sealed it with a clear dullcoat.

The painting step by step was:

Base color done with Games Workshop „Codes Gray“. Heavy drybrushing with Games Workshop „Fortress Gray“. Some details were painted Revell 78 dark gray. Wash with dark gray oil color. Hull panels painted with 5 different Polychrome gray pancils. Clear dullcoat, final slight white drybrushing for highlights.

The base is selfmade, the engines are filled with yellow daylight glowing color with a small white center as a 'hotspot'.
