In the 23rd century, we will either be boldly going where no man has gone before, or hanging around our last best hope for peace. Perhaps both! When we moved into our new apartment, my wife told me "No more hanging your space ships from the cieling, honey." But she didn't say anything about the walls... Basically, this model is a painting I made on foamcore board (The type you get at any drugstore), with various metal miniatures superglued on it. Since most of the minis were from Babylon 5, I painted Epsilon 3 and the blue plasma cloud thats outside the station. The minis are various Star Trek and Babylon 5 ships, and are made by an assortment of manufacturers. (Agents of Gaming and Mongoose for the B5 ones, FASA, ADB, and Rawcliffe for the Star Trek.) The minis were divided into 2 sides of the painting. The "good guys" (The Federation and the Interstellar Alliance) are on the left, and the "Bad guys" (Shadows, Vorlons, Centauri, Klingons, Romulans, Tholians, the Planet Killer, and Khan) are on the right. I hung the painting on the wall near my workbench. It's certainly an eyecatcher! |
